On July 6 (Wednesday) 2022 at 11.00 at the Krowodrza Conference and Hotel Center, ul. Wybickiego 3b in Krakow, a plenary meeting of the Committee for Sustainable Mineral Resource Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences was held.

The subject of the meeting: Problems of raw material security in Poland.

The agenda of the meeting included:

2. Introductory presentations to the discussion:

• Krzysztof Galos - The concept of strategic and criticality of raw materials in the context of the needs of the national economy - different views, different methodological approaches,
• Krzysztof Szamałek - The concept of deposits of supranational, national, regional and local importance,
• attorney-at-law Jan Stefanowicz - Conditions and possible instruments for the protection of the national resource base (including mineral deposits and prognostic areas, anthropogenic deposits/accumulations).
